The Royal Wedding
Saturday, April 30, 2011 || 12:54 AM
just hours before (at ard 1800H SGT), the wedding of the century took place
it was rather lavish and rather well planned out
there was just so much hype about it, about the stars of the show and of cos! about the wedding dress!
today, millions of people gathered in london to watch the matrimony of prince william and kate middleton
or i shld call Prince William and Catherine Middleton
and its not just the people who gathered in london who got to see the wedding
people around the world are watching too!
according to the BBC, it was being screened to 180 countries.
i mean. HOW COOL IS THAT??
haha
so here i am, going to give u the highlights of the wedding of the century
just in case u missed it. heh
prince william in red and prince harry in black. in their full resplendent military uniform
as the princes arrived at Westminister Abbey (quite a central part in the royal family).
you cant really see here. but the military uniform was awesome much!
this was how Catherine Middleton's mother looked like. I love her dress and coat. the blue is just so pretty. and the headpiece! gosh. i'm in love with headpieces. this wedding has let me fulfil my secret fetish for beautiful headpieces that makes statement (:
and the flower girls and page boys. dont they look cute?? XD
she wanted nature, and nature was what she got! Kate had maple trees artfully located within westminister abbey itself. i must say it lent an air of romanticism to the entire ceremony. tastefully decorated :D
along the way from Goring Hotel in London to Westminister Abbey.. Proud proud moment it must be for her father.
arriving at westminister abbey was the bride! the wedding dress was designed by sarah burton for alexandra mcqueen. awesome awesome dress. the details lining the hem of her dress was superbly done. i heard her train was 2.5m long! oh the person helping out is the bridesmaid and her sister, Pippa Middleton.
the bride being walked down the aisle by her father.
westminister abbey in its full glory. having a role in this momentous occasion.
when the vows were taken. special moment it was.
after being pronounced husband and wife. can u see the intricacies of the hem design? LOVE IT!
after the ceremony, there came the traditional horse carriage ride to the buckingham palace.
the happy royal couple, now duke and duchess of cambridge
and to please the crowd chanting for Prince William and Kate to kiss, they kissed TWICE! haha!
well, CONGRATULATIONS TO THE TWO LOVE BIRDS :D
i'm so happy for them!
